Re: Dress rant
When you go shopping, tell the sales person helping you NOT to bring you anything strapless.. I'm not a fan of strapless either, it doesn't work on my body. My dress has straps.

Re: Dress rant
You can always get extra fabric and have a jacket made.
That's what I'm doing though I honestly don't know how much it's going to cost. Stupid me didn't ask
My sister/MOH is probably doing the same thing as well.

i know!!! i had the same problem! but check with the places...some gowns you can add on to...like demetrios
I second that, I purposely didn't want a strapless dress and demetrios had many that were just my style...

Re: Dress rant
AH!!!! I had the SAME problem. I hate strapless dresses, and it seems that's all there is out there! I went into one store, and when I said that I would not try on a sleeveless dress, let alone a strapless dress, that I wanted sleeves, they were like...'sleeves?' like they'd never heard of them! I was like...you do realize, that until about ten years ago...MOST wedding dresses had sleeves!!!?? Anyway, I did get a dress there, one of the three they had with sleeves... BUT then I went to Angel Bridals, in east Islip...and they had a MUCH larger selection of NON strapless dresses! (I actually ended up buying a second dress there. they had THE ONE!)
Good Luck! they are out there!!!

I had this problem too. I ended up getting a strapless and will add sleaves.
