Dress shopping

Dress shopping

I got my dress at Kleinfeld's in November. They will not permit you to take pictures of the dress. However, they no longer remove the labels from the dresses and all dresses have price tags (I worked there when I was in HS and labels/prices were removed from all dresses). They are under new management, and I had a really good experience picking out my gown there. Renee, my consultant, was so nice and very helpful. My advice, go there during the week because Saturdays are chaotic.

I am planning a March 2002 wedding. I'm a little concerned about the weather. Where are you taking pictures?

You might ask them if the dress you like is in any of the current magazines or who the manufacturer is. You might be able to find it on the internet.

Thanks everyone

You had Renee, too? Isn't she great? I worked in Kleinfeld's when I was in HS, but they now have new owners (which are much better than when I worked there). Everyone was really great, the owner even popped his head in to introduce himself. Getting my dress is definitely one of my happy wedding memories: I was surrounded by my female family members (mom, sister and niece) and my friends, and it was exactly one year before my wedding date. It was really great. Sorry this is so long :)

If your veil is going to be attached to your head with a comb and/or many bobbypins, I suggest you have the hairdresser do it. You can just put it over your arm until you are ready.

Have fun!
