I am petrified to go. Not happy with my size and know i'll find nothing that fits me on the rack. would like to take the next year to just drop 4 dress sizes so i feel better about going. Would love to go and just see what i like, but don't want to get depressed.
i'm sure that when u go to try dresses on that u will look beautiful no matter what. the good thing is that u do have time to work towards your goals. But even more importantly, your FH loves you for the size u are now.

Do you know what dress has been on my mind since watching season 3 of Sex and the City, Charlotte's dress when she got married to the impotent guy, I have to search for it but it fit her beautifully then again it was SATC!

Thanks Goldie, that was sweet. And yes, he loves me no matter what size I am which is a wonderful feeling. My weight loss is prompted by the wedding, but going to be more about health. I have one year to attain a very simple goal and I know I can do it. Also know it won't stop after that. Want to be around as long as I can

All this talk of dress shopping is making me want to go and see what's out there. I'm sure if I had to try some on that would help boost my weight loss effort. Maybe I can talk my mother into going with me one night to David Bridal in Lake Grove. Think someone said during the week the best time to go. Think that's going to make it super real.

Re: Dress Shopping?
I told my mom (who lives in upstate NY) that I wouldn't go without her. Hopefully she'll come visit in the fall and we can do some looking then!

Re: Dress Shopping?
I've begun just keeping my eyes open to see if anything catches it, and I may go in the fall to try on dresses just to figure out a style that I like. I probably won't officially start until it gets a bit closer though simply because I realize my tastes could definitely change between now and then, and hopefully my size will be changing & I'll be dropping a few lbs too haha .
