So, I haven't been dress shopping yet - I figured I'd wait until after the holidays. I've been planning to find a day that works for my sister and my mom.
I just found out that the designer I really like is having a trunk show at Kleinfeld's this weekend and the only time I could get an appointment was on Friday at 4:30pm. There's no way my mom or my sister can come at that time.
I think I'm going to go alone. Is that pathetic?

Go alone! Have fun! My sister went with like 8 people once and everybody had a different opinion I think it made things more confusing for her b/c she couldn't find what she loved...then eventually she found her dress all alone when she stopped at a place on the way home from work.

I went alone the first time because I didn't think I would buy anything! When I loved a dress I called a few people to come look at it before buying. So no, I don't think theres anything wrong with it at all!

I don't like shopping!
OK now that the shock is wearing off, I don't like shopping with others. I like to look for things I like and go at my pace and well it's just a think I have. I may go shopping by myself initially and then bring my Mom and MOH to help make the final decision.

Not at all......the first time I went dress shopping, I went by myself. It was no big deal. Plus, I could think on my own and not have anyone else influencing me on what looked good on me or not. I didn't even pay much attention to what the salesperson was saying. I ended up finding THE DRESS the first time and then i went back with my mom who approved my decision.

I found my gown shopping alone.....than I brought people back to see it...... I went to paradise bridal in Suffolk.....they were soooo helpful

I went dress shopping alone. I do not see anything wrong with it because if you like something you will bring them with you to see it, you know what you like and what you want.

Not pathetic at all. Some of my most productive dress shopping days were the ones alone. I could focus on my opinions alone and take my time. Enjoy this!

I think Id rather actually go alone when I decide to go. Everybody has so many opinions! When i find the right one I will then ask them to come and look.....
