Okay, so this was my first day shopping and I didn't find my dress. But I now have a much better idea of what I'm looking for and what I want to spend. We happened to be in NJ for the day so I shopped there (no sales tax! No matter how much the dress is!). First we went to the Macy's in Menlo Park Mall. They only carry Demetrios, and the selection wasn't huge, but I tried on 5 dresses.
The first was pretty, and only $900:
The second was VERY pretty but $3400:
The third looked 'eh' on the hanger but SO pretty on. It was $1500-ish, I don't remember exactly:
So, I didn't find anything I wanted to buy - nothing jumped out at me and screamed 'THIS IS IT!!!', but I'm starting to get an idea of what I'm looking for and how much I want to spend. Next I went to Priscilla of Boston - I'll post those photos later.

I did have fun. The lady in macy's was very nice, very low-pressure. I didn't like how there were 2 other brides there besides me trying stuff on and we all had the same podium/mirror area - the other two brides had brought about 5 people each, and I had quite an audience of strangers! So when my mom asked me to stand like I was holding a bouquet, and then couldn't figure out the camera FOREVER, I started to get a little embarrassed standing there like that, and this happened:

Looks like you had fun!!! I'm surprised they let you take pictures!! I went to the one in Manhasset and they told me I couldn't take any pictures.
