ok SILLY QUESTION before sunday::i have been SO BAD this week w/exercising and stuff....so im afraid im gonna feel fat sunday and hate everything...
does anyone have one of those ridiculous quick fix 'diet' like tips for me to do the next couple days?? besides the MASSIVE amounts of water im going to drink????
just like something to make sure im not bloaded, or carrying extra water weight???
im gonna do a sh*t ton of crunches n stuff the next 2 days though....(as i sit on the computer and type type type lol)

I personally had an awful experience at the bridal suite of centerach. However a good friend of mine raved about it so it could have been the person that was helping me. We didn't take any pictures there...
who were u with?? im meeting with Robin???
whta im doing, though, is even if i find THE ONE, im still gonna go to another place i wanna check out, just to see if A. their prices are better, and B. their service is better
i had 2 places in mind from day 1, and just chose one at random to go to first...they both carry Maggie Sottero, which i love, so if i find the ONE on sunday, ill just write down the model number or whatever, and go to the other place a week later, and make my decision after that

Re: Dress Shopping this sunday, what should i know???
Hey 09 crasher here! Here's my advice:
DON'T diet before dress shopping-you want to see yourself look amazing in the dress as you are, what if you were bedridden for months before the wedding? You have to think about stuff like that. If it looks amazing on you now, imagine how much better it will look when you are dieting more/exercising more/etc.
Wear a strapless bra (as the other girls said), but also what I wore were the Spanx 'Power Panties' which essentially look like bicycle spandex shorts. The gowns will slip on and off so easily (and it takes away a couple inches too!) I think my bridal attendant really appreciated that. And it made all the mermaid shaped gowns look hat much better.
Definitely wear makeup and have your hair done, bring a clip so you can look at yourself in the dresses with a more 'dressed up' kind of feel.
Try not to bring an entourage. The less opinions the better. The 2nd time I went gown shopping I brought 7 people and I paid more attention to their reactions than how I felt about the gown.
AND.....really I say this all the time, but don't make a decision so fast. The earlier you choose your dress, the more times you may change your mind. I suggest actually purchasing your dress like 9-10 months before (DO NOT let them tell you some dresses take a year, thats ridiculous). Every bride second guesses her dress after the excitement of the purchase has worn off (after about a month or 2).
Good luck and have so much fun!!

and yes im just taking my mom and one BM...once i find the one, ill let other ppl come see, like for my first fitting...but not til then
and yes i was just tellin one of my BMs that im going to do my hair all down and somewhat curled w/my lil 'poof' cuz i want something like that day of, as well as doing my makeup...

Re: Dress Shopping this sunday, what should i know???
I suggest bringing heels! I didn't read all of the responses, but when I went it wasn't a planned trip. My mother and I were passing David's Bridal and just spontaneously decided to go in. My hair looked like crap, I was wearing no make-up, and I was trying on mermaid gowns, and wasn't wearing 'body armour' (as my assistant comically put it). I felt fat (and I'm not boasting but I'm a skinny short girl), the pictures taken came out horrible. I think heels would have improved my posture, and SPANX really would have done the trick! I have two 'real' appointments coming up on the 18th. I can't wait!!Good luck!! I hope you find your dream dress :)

Seriously you will be floored when you see yourself in a mermaid gown. I always had wanted one but thought I would like a total cow..Then we were at the Bridal Place for the first time and I saw a mermaid gown hanging and said 'I really want to try this, it'll probably make me look fat, but its worth a shot, but whatever...' And when I saw myself in it I was floored.
That wasn't my dress, but I am, in fact, wearing a mermaid shaped gown. Let me know how you do!
