Dress shopping! UPDATED!!!

Going dress shopping tomorrow!! we are going to Lillettes in bellmore and bridal suite of centerreach! This will be my second time dress shopping and Im really trying to find one tomorrow!

any hints on dress shopping? should I bring shoes with me? exxccciitteddd

UPDATE:

I said yes to the dress! wop wop! went to Centereach first, can I just say the sweetest people ever! But kind of a far drive so I still wanted to check out lillettes bc it is around the corner from my dads house. And that where I found it! and bought it! haha too much fun!

Lillettes was great and Pat helped me... great selection of dresses! she was really honest about price, alterations and the dress.

NOW I need to find shoes!

Also, try on things you normally wouldn't - you never know!

Agree! Definitely try on things you wouldn't normally try on. The dress I picked I almost didn't want to put on. Totally not what I was thinking of when I pictured myself in a wedding dress. But once I put it on, I fell inlove!

bahahaha I totally got a pedicure for the occasion, dont want to have ugly feet!

I wish I was that prepared! LOL I brought heels I wear at work, and me being the idiot (it was my first time), I totally wore underwear and a bra that didn't match and had weird patterns. OH WELL! LOL

ITA..do u have an idea on what type of gown u want..a-line puffy mermaid?. That will help you but try a few different types and keep us posted! GL

I bought my gown at Lillettes! I absolutely love Gerri! She is so knowledgable and really knew from my description what I was looking for. Although she still made me try on each different style (fit) of gown just to make sure.

Just last night I was there to get my measurements for my gown to be ordered.

As for shoes, I found mine as Sandy's Shoes in Massapequa.

Lillettes also mentioned a online store called The Glass Slipper in NYC or something like that. They had tons of great selections. Just not sure if it is a store front as well.
