the dress shop talked to the designer of my dress and they said for me to get it in ivory i would have to pay an additional $100.00 because they consider it to be a custom order being the dress did not initially come in that color , so i told her i'd pay, i ordered and got my veil in ivory already, and it wasnt cheap not to mention i squared every thing w/ my decorator last week. so i'm just going to pay the money its worth it to me.

Glad it all worked out. I would have paid too -- what is another $100 at this point. However the shop should have owned up to their mistake and covered the cost!

i think that's good.. it's totally worth not dealing with the stress of picking a new color. plus now you can say you had a custom made dress!

glad it worked out! did you receive a contract when you bought the dress? maybe if on the contract they wrote ivory and the cost of the dress (without the $100 extra) you can show it to the shop and ask them to cover the extra cost for their mistake..

$100 really isn't that bad...I would have thought it would of been a lot more...once people start calling it 'custom' they usually really jack up the price!
