dress vision change?

dress vision change?

ok, so I am not nervous about dress shopping anymore. I had my first experience on Saturday.

Here's the thing though. I always said I didn't want a strapless dress and I wanted something with a cap sleeve or off the shoulder. I tried on this one dress with off the shoulder straps and I looked at the top of it and said 'this is my ideal dress' however, I hated the bottom. There were no other dresses with this top. I then tried on a strapless that I fell in love with the whole thing. It comes with a matching shawl, so they would make the sleeve for me. So what I think I have to do is... go to different stores and try on more dresses with sleeves. I am scared I am going to regret it if I go and buy the strapless and don't try on something else

Did anyone else have something like this happen? They had a vision and fell in love with something else so quickly?

I put down a deposit on a dress when I first got engaged, thinking it was the one. Then as I started becoming familiar with this website, and seeing what other brides are wearing, I started checking more out and fell in love with another dress.

I would recommend trying on as many dresses as it takes to really find the one that is it, or to reassure you that the 2nd dress you chose is the one. Remember, there is a dress out there for every bride. We all just have to find it

good luck and post some pictures if you get the chance. I love cap sleeves!

I'd say look around a bit more. I found that the ones that I never liked were the ones that really looked good on me.

That definitely has happened to me a few times. I always loved the strapless a line ballgown style...then over the summer, just for fun a few friends and i went to try on dresses and i decided that i didn't like the strapless dresses and wanted one with wider almost off the shoulder straps. Then it came time for the real shopping and I'm back to strapless and fit and flare....a little different than the a line ball gown hhaha. It all depends on what looks good on you, its amazing once you start trying things on!!! Tastes change!!
