So I have been shopping for awhile... having difficultly finding THE dress in my price range. I went to a shop today where they sell designer gowns from previous seasons that they get from the designers etc. So its like 24/7 Sample Sale.
Here is the pic of the dress that I have liked the most so far...
It's gorgeous Reem Acra dress. Originally $5k, but purchase price is 70% off. Cleaning is included in the price as well as an repairs (of which there are none on this dress since it just arrived yesterday)
What do you think of it...
Honest opinions... I know I look a little chubs right now... LOL! My friend is visiting....
I think it's really classic and pretty, but I think it seems expensive for that little amount of beading even at $2K.

I think it is really beautiful and I like the neckline because its not like every other strapless dress every girl has! But, I think that you have to decide if you really love it! Because if it was 'the dress' you would just know it! But you look stunning!

I think its gorgeous!!! Getiing a Reem Acra dress for that price is unbelievable!! I tried on a Reem Acra dress from the 08 line and it was 12K!! I was saying to myself 'Is this woman CRAZY!?!?! I could buy a car instead'
When I worked in a Westchester Bridal Salon, they sold that EXACT dress for $6,400! I remember it because I tried it on too!
I think its 100% beautiful, stunning & elegant!

I am confused! I am a commitment -a -phob I am always afraid I am going to find something better. The fit was amazing. I have tried on close to 70 something dresses and the fit and shape of it were perfect. But I am not 100% sure. Its the only one left so it might be gone by the time I decide... UGH!!!

Re: Dress... YAY or NAH!
It's a bridal outlet. its actual an online vendor but they have a store and it just happen to be right outside of Boston... only 15 mins from me. So I looked online and then went there to check it out. The other plus is if you get a gown under $1500 I think there is no tax here. Over $1500 then its 5% tax at least thats what the lady told me. Normally there is no tax on clothes.. I guess just high priced items only.
It's known as Vows. Here is the website: http://www.bridepower.com/VisitStore.ASP

I honestly don't love it....it is a really great deal but I think you could do better. But, it really doesn't matter what I think! If it felt right, you should go for it. If you're going to get it just b/c there's pressure and it was a great deal, I wouldn't. Don't rush just b/c it seems like such a great sale, only if you know it's right! JMO! Good luck!!!

Re: Dress... YAY or NAH!
I LOVE Vows. I got my gown there and it was a Reem Acra, too. I live in Boston now, so I used their seamstress for the alterations. She was a little expensive, but it was totally worth it - by the time I went for the second fitting, the dress was perfect.
I loved the feel of my dress and the quality of the fabric and the design of the beading. When I put it on, I didn't want to take it off. I think the dress looks great on you, but the important thing is how YOU feel in it.
Two things to keep in mind. I think the store policy is that if you put a deposit down and change your mind, you can get a credit towards something else. I don't think they give refunds. Also, try to check the beading after the dress comes back from cleaning. Reems are delicate.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE It! It is different than many dresses we see lately and that is why I love it so much. very flaterring and just so elegant! I really think you should go for it. Its And if you do...dont look any more!
