I am seriously considering signing a contract with duet for my wedding. I only need 1 photographer and am not getting books, enlargements - I am just getting the pictures on a CD/DVD and maybe printed proofs (but I will most likely print them somewhere else). Here's my question: how many proofs did you get from your one photographer? I met with Eric a few weeks ago and he told me I would have 2000 proofs, which I find VERY hard to believe. My sister had them several years ago and she had about 600. Most photogs are telling me I'll have between 700 and 1000, which sounds about right. I love their work, but I feel like he is stretching the truth here to impress me and I am not sure what I should think about that (if he is lying, I am not too fond of that).

I had woo from duet for our wedding. we only hired the 1 photographer but he came with an assistant. we got about 1200 pics on the cd and like 700 actually picture proofs. i hevent even attempted to start picking ones out. i loved them and all the pics came out great. you definitely have my recommendation. good luck!

maybe Eric meant they would take about 2000 pictures that day
so you would get the 2000 pics on the cd...Duet usually gibes between 600-700 proofs...

i am doing the exact package with Duet that u are thinking about and planning on printing elsewhere and making my own book!! :)
he said that one photographer would work well because i have what is considered a 'small' wedding of 100-120 people. the photographer will be able to go all over and cover everyone. he also promised me between 1500-2000 pictures 'easily' but they will only edit the best ones. i forget how many..i have it written down somewhere if you want me to check..

If you're doing it that way, make sure its in High Resolution - so you can print them in any size you want.

You just answered another of my questions! They will edit some photos with the silver package? I was wondering if they would just shoot ewverything and give me the disc as-is, or if they edit some, if they will make some b&w, sepia, etc, if they will make some b&w with certain things in color (bo-k, I love that look!), etc... so they do?? Maybe that is what they mean by 600 proofs and 2000 pics?? The 600 is the ones they edit?
If you can check how many they told you they will edit I would appreciate it greatly! Thanks very much!

Nooo - you'll get your proofs on cd and printed included in the price. You don't pay extra to get your proofs on paper.

I had Duet and they printed about 800 proofs but on cd I had about 4000... ALot of pics. I had 2 photographers.

Nooo - you'll get your proofs on cd and printed included in the price. You don't pay extra to get your proofs on paper.
With Duet's silver package, printed proofs are extra. 50 cents a piece! Which is why I am most likely printed them elsewhere. If they will print them for me for a couple extra hundred dollars, I will just get them there. I hope to go there this week to work out final details and book.
