I've narrowed my photographer search to Imagine Studios and Duet Photography (with Jay), and have to decide by tomorrow!! I think I like Imagine a little better, but they both seem very talented. Duet's package is a little cheaper and gives a little more. One other important thing is that Duet is allowing me to have my engagement shoot anywhere ( I might do Central Park), whereas Imagine only is permitting it near their premises out in Long Island. Duet's package also includes 2 extra hours of shooting time on the wedding day, among a few other extras.
Have any of you considered both these photographers? What helped in your final decision? Thanks!!

We went with Duet, not Jay though, but I have heard a lot of good things about him. We are using TJ and love all of the pictures we have seen from Duet.

I'm a bit biased since I'm using Jay from Duet... he's really nice. My sister and her sister in law both used him and now I'm going to!

I have yet to choose my photographer but check out the pro pics from belongs2danbuckley. She used Imagine Studios and her pro-pics are awesome. I'm definitely going to check them out.

I used Imagine Studios and Lia was fantastic. Check my albums or my review and you can see some of my pro pics. I would definitely recommend her.

I almost went with Imagine. They were a bit out of my price range. Lia & her husband are awesome.

I was in the same boat as you. I narrowed it down to DUET and Imagine. I chose IMAGINE and just had my EPICS two weeks ago and couldn't be happier. We did them at Lia's house and she was so creative and so excited for us. One of the major reasons I spent more and went with Imagine was that it was more personable. DUET is a big company and I when I went to look at Imagine's work, Lia made me feel so comfortable. I knew that I was ALWAYS going to be dealing with her and no one else. I cannot say enough good things about her and I haven't even had my wedding yet. I only got a few EPICS back so far, but she is SO talented !! We took our pics in her backyard and they are AMAZING!! You spend the most time with the photog./videographer the day of your wedding and I knew that I wouldn't mind spending it with Lia!

I love Duet!!! I have Nick, but my friend is having Jay and my other friend had Alberto. We took our e-pics in May on the beach, they are in my album if you want to look at them. My friend just got her completed alblum from them and it is fabulous (so is their video)!

Imagine! ...although Duet would probably be my second choice. There arent as many Imagine brides because Lia does everything herself, and she's the only photographer (while Duet has quite a few different teams).
I love her work (did you see MissingTheBGene's proofs?) and she's so sweet. Plus, I like knowing that she's taken all of the beautiful pictures they have.
I really don't think you can go wrong with either, but I'd say IMAGINE! (I can give a more informed opinion in 39 days though!)

Well put, Sharvin09. I didn't want to worry about having to change photographers 3 weeks before my wedding because something came up if I went with a big company. I booked with Imagine Studios. Lia is great!!! She always gets back to me via email/phone very quickly. She is very professional and patient. You won't be sorry if you book with her!

Hands down - Imagine
While I loved my wedding photos I'm still kicking myself in the butt for not sucking it up and spending the money on Imagine.
Since then I've done family photos with Lia twice and she continues to blow me away with her artistry and how she captures emotion in a photo.
I was hoping for the renewal she was available but she has a wedding - but she was the first person I called.
