Re: Duet vs. Patken
Patken is probably pricier but they have AMAZING quality! They were the most unique photographer that we saw in terms of style of photos. I am a patken bride My photo and video was $3500 including thank yous, save the dates, and digital negatives.

Duet is pricier... photo and video would be around $4000-5000+ depending on what you get. From what I have read on this site, some people have bad experiences with Patken's customer service.
Patken is slightly more expensive. They are VERY comparable IMO so you should check them both out.

I haven't had any problems when I called them with questions... email on the other hand is a different story.

That's an awesome price. When did you book? Does that include parent albums?

Re: Duet vs. Patken
My quotes for both were very close. I went with DUet. I was very put off by Patken and felt it wasnt personal service and I couldnt pick my photog. There was just a little too much out of my control for my liking.
I have epics and wedding pics in my albums if you want to look at Duet pics

Re: Duet vs. Patken
I looked into both and duet is more. Patken is excellent and great to work with, I chose my photographer with them based on albums they showed me and recommendations. i have e-pics in my album.

my quotes were extremely close. patken wanted to charge me $900 for a second photographer while that is included with duet.

Re: Duet vs. Patken
I booked Duet bc of the quality and price. I also liked that all photog are all the same price, which I heard that Patken charges extra per certain photog

thanks all do you think 3000 is a realistic target for 2 photogs and videographer with no albums?

I booked Duet, they were a little more (like 200) I happened to like duet’s style and video and albums better. JMO

Re: Duet vs. Patken
how many photographers did everyone have? 1 or 2? i just called patken and they said they usually dont suggest 2 photographers. but what if we want photos of getting ready both for the bride and the groom? will they travel from house to house?

Re: Duet vs. Patken
i think i'm going to!
i just called both and they still have my date available so *hopefully* i'll get to meet with both and then go from there.
it took us 5 months to choose an RH - hope it won't be the same with all our vendors!!
anyone know any other photog/video? i hear mostly about patken and duet - are there others that are very reasonable that people here have used?
