Re: E-party @ Home
we're doing bbq style engagement party in the backyard
food: i guess they'd be like the appetizers we'll do the chips, pepperoni/cheese/crackers, pigs in a blanket, pizza rolls, spinach dips, nachos, wings....then for i guess what would be the meal we're gonna have all sorts of bbq'd meats (steak, chicken, sausage, hot dogs, hamburgers) we're gonna do baked ziti, salads, sausage and peppers
drinks: we're getting a keg...i got sodas, juices, water...gonna have some rum, tequila, vodka (the basics)
games: we're gonna have horseshoes, croquet (i was gonna do volleyball but they are nervous people will fall off of our yard...where we would put it it's gonna be 3 ft high from the street...so thats out)...and i'll have stuff for the kids...i'm also gonna make lil things for the kids
basically i wanted the e party to be the kids and adults b/c they don't really get to celebrate with us, and i wanted it to be a lil more laid back as we are doing the fancy wedding....but these are my ideas

Re: E-party @ Home
We had our engagement party at my house in August 2005. We decided to introduce our wedding theme 'autumn'. My Bridal Party helped us out. We had it in my backyard. We rented a tent tables and chairs. It was beautiful!!

Re: E-party @ Home
my eparty is 7/7/7 - we are having it at a relatives house on the water so my theme is sort of 'Hamptons Summer'
breezy, beachy feel - white, khaki and blue. Shells, candles, small candle lanterns etc. Should be fun.

Re: E-party @ Home
It sounds like so much fun. Our house won't be ready before the end of the summer, but if it is done early Fall we'll have an engagment/houswarming party in one, with close family and friends. Check out Oriental Trading for ideas and great items for a house party.
