E-party help!

Okay I'm having a BBQ for my E-party at Southhaven park. Its a great park for kids, there are ducks to feed, play grounds, a baseball field and plenty of woods to explore. We are also having a Pintia and a boom box full of rock and roll, heavey metal and so on. The problem is, what do I do with very old fashion traditional adults? My family is VERY laid back, compare to my FH family. How do I entertain theses types of people? We refuse to play country music, or endless songs of Frank Sinatra. I honestly don't know what to do for them. Any ideas?

Checkers? Dominoes... they seem like 'park'ish games...

It's important to remember that you DO need to make an effort to please your guests- no matter what the function. It's the guests who celebrate with you that really make the party.

At some point, we all have to do things, or listen to things that may not be our personal favorite- in the interest of entertaining our guests. I know that I made certain sacrifices so that certain guests could enjoy themselves. And, I'm glad I did. As the hostess, if I invite someone to celebrate something with me, I need to make it fun for them, too.

eta: you don't need to make your ENTIRE party into something that pleases only a few people. But, there should be at least a small amount of music/entertainment that appeals to everyone.
