i bought scratch off stickers (all they are are silver or gold scratchable stickers) from a vendor on ebay. then i made the design in PPT and used different images. 2 on a ticket. obviously only 1 had matching images. i stuck the sticker on 1 image and wrote something like 'if you match you win'...i dont remember...but i have the PPT template if you want.

FH took it to staples to get printed on a heavier paper in color and cut. they came out really vivid and good. super easy. and ppl were surprised at a homemade scratch off.

oooo. i remember the second game. it was human bingo. just google it to find out what it is. its definately more of an ice breaker game to have ppl get to know eachother. pretty easy to do. it just never worked out because ppl were fine getting to know eachother without any help. so we didnt want to force a game on them.

i think it was the better decision. but it was good to have it just in case...

we had abotu 60 ppl in a restaurant. the restaurant had some low music playing over the speakers, but that was it. we had open bar (wine and beer) and people seemed fine just chit-chatting and talking. it was on a sunday afternoon 1-5pm, so it went over well.

i dont feel we missed anything.

this is exactly what we are doing... it is good to hear your guys' input. thanks!!

if u can forward me the ppt template that would be great! i like that idea its different!

and ill look up human bingo, cuz if our families stay segregated, i may attempt to do it! (although one of my family members DOES NOT speak to another of mine, they need to be kept separated LOL so depending on how this game goes i may avoid it!!

we had a DJ. it was included in our pp price. but we had it at a place that had a dancefloor so it kinda fit.
the only game we did was to auction off our CP's (they were real fish in a bowl). we taped a scratch off ticket under 1 chair at each table and whoever sat there got the CP.

oh and FH and i made up trivia cards of 'How Well Do You Know The Future Mr. & Mrs.?' they were multiple choice questions with the answers on the back and we just left them on the table in a business card holder for people to read while they ate or at their leisure.

hey i like that questionairre idea!!! if u dont mind, could u send me the questions u put on them, cuz id have no idea what kinda questions to ask!!

i cant send you our questions because you wouldnt understand them. they were personal questions to us about our relationship together like say....
while in great adventure what did john do while jackie was on a roller coaster?
a. went on another ride
b. bought the last waffle cone even though jackie wanted one
c. ate lunch
d. went wandering around the park

or...During John's proposal...how did he ask 'Will you marry me?'
a. on a tv screen
b. written in rose petals
c. typed out on a cell phone screem
d. he just asked

While at splish splash, what happened when Jackie went down a slide?
a. she lost her flip flop
b. she hit her head
c. she wasnt allowed on the slide
d. her bathing suit top fell off

and then on the back of the cards we had the answers

Re: e-party question

thanks. we just went through all our memories and made questions. some were really funny, others were serious and romantic. others were just simple like when did we start dating? when we get married we will have been dating for how long? etc

human bingo is like 'who is left handed' and then you need to find someone left handed. so you can talk to as many or as little ppl as you like. but its a good ice breaker. ive used it before and it got crowds moving. i am sure i have that and the ppt template at home. FM me your email addy and ill send it tonight.

For those of you that went to TWOTY (thought we weren't supposed to go this year if we were getting married in 2010 - someone will have to explain this whole thing to me in a future post.), we are having Phil from After Hours DJ at our EParty on 4/4/09 at the Irish Coffee Pub. We're doing the coctail party thing but staggering it so that it will work out to be a 1 1/2 to 2 hour cocktail hour with cold stations and then small buffet with a carving station. Since my groom zilla insisted on a Saturday night, we got the open bar deal and I figured I would be able to spend my time out on the dance floor with my sister to avoid being nailed down to one person.

We weren't sure about having a DJ either. We are having a casual BBQ E-Party and are torn about a DJ...it will probably end up coming down to the cost...

LOL ME TOO!!!!!
Our e-party is 3/28 and we are having a casual bbq party so I'm thinking ipod....only think I do really want is cake with our picture on it...is that lame?

Re: e-party question

we didnt, we set our ipod and speakers up on the bar and to be honest no one even noticed the music, everyone was too busy up and talking. granted our party was at captain bills on the water the saturday of that huge hurricane thing that hit
