E- RING INSURANCE???

E- RING INSURANCE???

A few days ago I THOUGHT I lost my e- ring. I was FREAKING OUT (to say the least). Thank God I found it.. but it scared me big time. Fh called our insurance agent and asked if they would insure e-rings, and they said yes. We haven't visited the office to discuss it yet. I wanted to ask everyone else on here first.

Do you guys have E-ring insurance? What insurer would be the best option for insurance like this? And what are you paying per year? Thanks in advance for anyone that can help. xoxo

I have a separate policy through Chubb. It's just under $900 a year but I think ours is on the high end because of our zipcode (urban area).

We pay around $90 a year for my ring through Allstate. We got a discount from them because we already have three other policies with them.

loll I think that you are better off getting it with an insurance company which you already do business with for the best rate-

oh no, not that much! I to be so nervous walking around with a ring that expensive. It's $2.80 for every $100.

We spoke with our homeowners insurance and they said to go with a different company, we shouldn't add it on.

I think ours is through our homeowner's insurance?!?

Re: E- RING INSURANCE???

I do. Mine is too big for us to add it to the homeowners...we went with Chubb because they will give you the amount that its insured for. Jewelers Mutual is the other one that insures jewelry, and their policy is to replace the exact ring that was lost.

ours is through jewelers mutual its like 600 bucks a year i think i can NEVER ever remember b/c i dont pay it- FH does but its worth it for peace of mind

Re: E- RING INSURANCE???

Ok here is my input:

FH owns the house we live in and we could not yet add it to our homeowners because the ring is mine yet the house is not yet.

So we took out renters insurance through Allstate....it was a bit high...Maybe $300 for the year but covers my ring and other valuables in FH house (I think up to $50K?). Also we get married in June so we only had to pay half the year of renters and then will drop it when we add my name to the title!

Great post though!
