early 10 girls, invites and other ?'s

When are y'all planning to send out invites? I was told to do it in November, but with thanksgiving and Christmas is that to late?

Also, what do you still have left to do? We have

Get BM dresses ordered (I know, cutting it close)
Get FH and GM fitted for tuxes
Get GM and parent gifts
Make and send invites
Find alterationist and do fittings
Get shoe dyed
Find RD spot and print invites
Make menus and programs if we decide to do them
Get foundation garments
Get unity candle and glass for FH to step on
Songs for ceremony
Choose songs for reception
Finalize menu with hall
E-pics (thursday)

Well i am doing inivtes early compared to what they say is standard. I am going to send them out for them to reach people by Feb 1 and have a MArch 1 rsvp date. My wedding is April 18th. I just would rather have them back sooner.

Ive read that when holidays are in the mix, up to 12 weeks before is when you should send them. I would go for a rsvp date of Nov 15 or atleast before Thanksgiving. After that people are *****. So I would send them out pretty soon! I know that seems so early but you know what, either way youre gonna end up calling people who dont rsvp so atleast you will have the time.

Get FH and GM fitted for tuxes- January
Get GM gifts- gotta do
Make and send invites
Find alterationist and do fittings- doing at bridal salon
Get shoe dyed- gotta do,
Find RD spot and print invites- not started at all

Songs for ceremony- done but must speak with organist

I'm sending out my invites mid-October, its usually 2-3 months prior to the event date.

This is my to-do list:

- Marriage License
- Must Take Lists
- Song List
- Programs
- Favors
- Finalize Menu
- Menus
- RD Invites
- Finish gifts
- Table Numbers
- OOT Bags

I should have my invites sometime in October and once I get them I plan on sending them out, I have an RSVP date of Dec 1 on them.

Still left to do:
-pick ceremony music
-pick tuxedo's (will be going in 2 weeks)
-decide on parent gifts
-finish gm gifts
-have my shoes dyed
-meet with bakery
-pick out menu at RH

I plan on sending my invites out the end of november to beat the xmas card rush with an rsvp date of 1/20
I have left to do:
- FG dress
- tuxs
-GM gifts
-Parent Gifts
-finalize menu/make menus
-marriage license
-book RD
-Dye Shoes
-Pick out cake
-make do not play list

My invites should go out in Dec., which I don't want to do with the holiday Im afraid people will just put them to the side and forget about them

I still have to order my invites- Im meeting with the girl next week
Tuxedos they will be going in the next 2 Weeks
MOB & MOG need dress
Finalize menu- will be done end of October
dress fitting first app is 11/11 and I will also do my hair trail that morning

wow its coming close once I place the order for my invites I will feel better, the girl swears it will be done in 2 Weeks that is the only thing that has me freaking out right now but she gave me a good quote and I was told her work was great saw her portfolio and liked it
Oh we also need to buy a house in the middle somewhere or we will be living will FAMILY

I am sending them out the last week of October and they are due 12/1/09.

i got a lot of stuff done early, (even my bathroom basket!) so now I'm just in massive saving $$ mode...

Don´t worry, for those of you who are feeling overwhelmed, you are about to feel better. I just miss the 1st quarter cut off but am getting married April 2nd. I still have to do . . .

everything but the RH!!!!! that´s right, EVERYTHING!!!! My dress, bm dresses, etc. Since I´m overseas I haven´t been able to finalize anything. We planned a trip to NY before we set a date (we were originally thinking late 2010 but realized april is best for taking time off) so I will be there from Oct 21 - Nov 9th. However, since we will be sightseeing, etc, I am staying an extra three weeks through Dec 2nd (FH and his daughter are leaving nov 9th )

So in those three weeks I have to do everything, including DIY invitations!!! I have to leave them addressed and stamped and ready to go!! Don´t get me wrong my fam helps however my mom and sis really busy because they both work full time and go to school (yup my mom is in college too!!) but they just got an offer on their house so they will be in the process of moving!!!! The worst thing is they may have to move during the time I´m there trying to get everything together!!

But it will all work out. I just got to stay positive. But you can all expect tons from posts from Nov 10 - Dec 1st!!!

As for the invites I will leave there ready and I think my mom is sending them out in January with an RSVP of March 2nd.
