I was parked in my car about to come back from lunch and thought I was just dizzy. Then my car started shaking and I thought my car engine had some major issues. That was so weird!
Family in Richmond but finally got in touch and all are okay.

I'm in Midtown on the top floor (39th), felt the floor beneath me shaking.....SO FREAKY!

I was in the middle of a meeting when the building started to shake. i stood up went 'THIS IS NOT GOOD' grabbed my bag, yelled for the girls i work with to come with me and ran out of the building lol. Seriously i was so scared i'm surprised my leggs carried me the 12 floors down the stairs lol. I clearly need to learn how to conduct myself better in emergencies

I was home and my house started shaking...I thought it was construction as well but then everything was moving so I grabbed my puppy and ran out outside with the rest of my neighbors.

Definitely felt it too!! My school was in the midst of dismissal when it happened. I thought someone had dropped something really heavy on the floor when it first started, but the ground continued to shake. Some classes were in the stairwells, others were outside and the buses were rocking back and forth. Scary!!! FH was evacuated from his office in DC and is now desperately trying to get home. He says the trains are only going about 10 mph!
And a I really really hope this is not a 'foreshock'!!

I was out to lunch with my co-workers and I thought one of the obnoxious guys was shaking/kicking my chair. Then i got bombarded by phone calls and when I got back to work (Madison Square Garden) everrrrryone was outside. I just wanted to go home! Screw this!
I was in the hospital with my mom (a whole other story) and my sister was sitting next to me in the chair. I thought she was kicking my chair or something. I felt like I was in a rocking chair, i was swaying. Then I thought I was dizzy or something like that. I didn't know what it was until I got an email news update.
