Dear Maybride, nypdgirl, and everyone else
How are you? Well I have a 3 page document that your maitre d' gives you when u sign the contract. Mike gave Karla and I these super list of what to do from as fat 12 months before the wedding date till the very week of the affair.
The menu, linens, and extras (stations, vienesse table, etc etc) plus your raff count of the guests are due 6 weeks before your wedding date. So make sure to book and appointment.
Also allow yourself some time to get your response cards, so you can give the east wind a finals count 2 weeks before the wedding date.
I almost forgot to tell you that when u submit your menu choices, rmemeber to make an appt. for your favors and things you want to have that day of the wedding.
Have a great weekend everyone. Hope this info helps u. Good luck with all your arrangements Karla and Howard

Re: East Wind Brides
Hey tbtmickey,
How are you? Hope you are having a great summer. Well let me tell you that Howard and I booked with Tommy Tunes. Great choice. No wonder why they are the The East Wind's house Dj.
I went to see Long Island Sound in 3 different showcases. I liked them in the 1st and I am a firm believer of 1st impressions, but it really turn me off at the 2nd and 3rd. So 2 agaings one, you do the math.
They were not as energetic at the 3 different locations, which got me thinking that in someone elses wedding they may be nice, and in mine they may not be nice.
Tommy Tunes gives you a nice package and a lot off add ons at affordable prices. Good luck with your Dj. search and all your wedding plans.

Well, I may not be an East Wind Bride much longer . It looks like we will be cancelling this week. FH and I are fine, but our finances are not. We are probably going to have a nice ceremony somewhere and that's it...no party, can't afford it and honestly, can't be worried about it anymore. Would love to say that one day I will be able to have the big celebration I dreamed about, but it does not seem to be the case...there will always be something. I have had nice chats w/ you guys. I wish you all the best!
OH NO!! I'm so sorry to hear this...I hope this wasn't just a big spin off from the photographer situation! Hang in there, things may turn around...

Re: East Wind Brides
OK, UPDATE....
Yesterday I called there, and spoke to a BM named Jennifer, since Shannon (Who I booked with is no longer there!!).
Anyway, she was extremely helpful. She basically said all the details we're worrying and talking about are finalized 6 weeks before the wedding when you finalize your menu. That's when you can book pics at the lobby, your cake, and even your RD if you're going to have it there. She did say that Inn brides get first pick for Inn Lobby pics since they booked there, but they always seem to work it out (so no worries Estate brides).
She could not help with the blocking of the rooms situation, which we're still aggravated over.
We are treating everyone to brunch the next day at Desmonds, and she also said she could help me coordinate that (again at the 6 week mark meeting).
I felt a lot better once I spoke to her. Good Luck, girls!
