I still need to block rooms and the ambassador suite for our wedding. FH is not down w/ how much the $$ the rooms are, and the whole deposit fiasco, but our friends are willing to spend the $ for the convenience.
For the INN- we did it by asking the relatives and friends who said they wanted to stay there to give us the $$$ first before we blocked, so my mom has NOT paid anything for anyone's room but her own... so you arent stuck with the fronting the $$$

Im having problems with the people at the Inn also. It makes me very nervous!!!
Again I would talk to your BM about the issues are having with the inn. Let them know how dissappointed you are with their service!

I'm new to this website...but we're getting married at the Estate on June 25, 2006. I'm soooo excited!!! What DJ's are you all using? I'm having a hard time deciding. I didn't like Long Island Sound, and am getting a weird feeling about Tommy's Tunes. Any suggestions?
I am using LIsound so I cannot help you there. But what about Bravura or Vinny From High Voltage??

When I went to a showcase I was just blown away by the MC and the percussionist! It was amazing and knew it would be perfect to accompany our latin music! I booked them on the spot! I have also seen tommy tunes in action at my best friends wedding and they were amazing. I did not use them b/c I am also getting married at the same hall she did and didn't want our weddings to be too similiar! But you cannot go wrong with either!

Those are good ideas, thanks, I'll look into them. Maybe I didn't look hard enough at Long Island Sound...what was it that made you pick them? I'm just not sure about how you know what is the right one to pick!![]()
I'm also getting married at Eastwind in the Inn, and we are using LI sound. We just clicked with them, they were very professional and we ultimately decided to go with them because of their percussionist. I'm so glad we did, I saw them at a showcase after and knew we definitely made the right decision. You should go with someone you completely feel comfortable with... Hope that helps a little....
Andreia, Weren't they awesome at the last showcase...I just had chills and we were jumping up and down like little kids!!

I'm also in a similar situation with LI Sound, which may be why I wasn't keen on them...my cousin is getting married at the East Winds three weeks before me and is using LI Sound...so I don't want the relatives to just think they're getting a re-cap! Thanks for the suggestions!
With that said, I may want to look into something differnt then! There are plenty of great DJ's out there and you will find the one that is perfect for your day!
