Hi Girls,

I just signed with Eastwind last weekend....
I'm not in the Estate but in the Southampton Room...l look forwarding to chatting with you girls about our planning!!!!

Ohh...and I saw the chairs for Estate..They are much nicer...the carpet is green with a pinkish/reddish flower if I remember correctly....(it was definetely overwhelming looking at the entire place!)

Are any of you going to the showcase on the 21st?

I am thinking about it... it is during my vacation week so i may treck to LI...we will see! Maybe I will see you there

I will be there..they are giving away a wedding there because WBLI is going to be there...

The wedding is for 100 people at the Estate but if you are already booked there..they discount like $8,000 off your price....

I know I won't win...but it's worth a try...you never know...

HI girls...Sorry I am on your board but I was searching for East Wind threads...I just went on WBLI to register for the contest and it doesn't say anywhere that if you are booked there, they give you money towards it...It just says that you can't be booked there....Hope this helps!!! By the way, East Wind is the best!!!!!!!!!!

I know what the site says because I read that too, but when I booked my Banquet Manager (Frank) told me that if by chance we happened to win, they would discount it from my wedding....maybe because I recently signed and I wouldn't have paid any more than my deposit....

I am not sure how it would work if you already paid for most of it.....

I will call to double check how this works...

I love East Wind! so I agree it is the best!

I guess we I will have to search and figure out this give a way wedding...

Hi...i have another question...are any of you getting married there at the ceremony area?....I am a little concerned now because I read the post with all the reviews about people who have been to weddings there and the 2 people who talked about the ceremony said nobody could hear them over the traffic of the cars!!!

I am having second thoughts of having the ceremony there...

But, BTW everyone gave raving reviews for cocktail hour and reception

But still concerned about ceremony....

Great idea!! I want to show my FMIL the spot, so that is a good way to do it. I was going to taker her to the next expo, but I like your idea better. Maybe we'll see ya there!

i am not having ceremony there, but if u r concerned...maybe you can go sit at the back of one ..it may seem silly but then youd be able to see how it is... i dont know just a thought

Thats a good idea! I'll have to do that too!

That's a good idea...I might even just go there on a Sat or Sun morning and see how it sounds from the ceremony site...I might ask dj for mic's also...I definetely have to look into that....
