I was just at a 50th that had this and it was a big hit. They were in shades of white and gold. Some had their names and some had their date.

Re: Edible Favors
We did something a little different - we gave an apple pie to each couple. Since it was fall and we love apples we thought it was a cute idea. We got them from Valley Caterers in Franklin Square.
you should check our Mrs. Fields! I just happened to get their catalog in the mail today, and they had such cute stuff, like gold tins w/choc. chip cookies in them that they can personalize to have your names and wedding date on the cover...mrs. fields cookies....yum

Re: Edible Favors
I saw this thing in Martha Stewart..DIY cake favors..they looked adorable...it was like 5 different shaped sugar cookies with icing in between to make a wedding cake and they provided the recipe for the cookies and icing..I may do that for my RD

Re: Edible Favors
I'm thinking of doing carmel apples with nuts for the favor. I've heard about it before and supposedly it looks great. I just have to find it, it will work as the seating card as well. My guests will have CH outside, so they won't get the seating card till we are ready to sit down (avoids them having to carry the apple around).

I am doing the caramel apples as one of my favors. I am getting them from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. If you order over a certain number they give you a 20% discount. Each comes wrapped in clear cellophane and you can choose any color ribbon for the tie. I think they will work with you if you want a message tag put on them as well.
