Unless you can really afford it- I would tip the MaitreD a little less and the photographer a little less...JMO

Really! I felt like I was being a cheap a$$ w/the maitre d...I thought it was like $3-$5 pp and I was only going to do $2.50...what is the standard?

the photographer seems high, and hair/make-up should be 20%.

Yeah $3-$5 is standard for the Maitre D.....we definitely gave more.... but ours was AMAZING

I followed the rule on tipping for the limo - OVER TIPPED BIG TImE!!! I gave the guy a $75 tip for drop off and pick up service. So it depends on what they are doing. If they stay till the end of the night and picked you up earlier and drove you around yes tip that much otherwise please reduce.

hmmm, I THINK this is what I am doing, (I may be a little cheap in some areas, but I just seriously am running out of money at this point.)
Maitre D: $475 - that's $3.50 a person
Bridal Attendant: $250
Photographer/2nd Shooter: $75 each - they are both doing just as much work
DJ - Mc $75 - DJ & Lighting guy $50 each and we are having a guy that plays the drums - $50
Hair & Makeup: I am tipping $50 on a $300 bill. I know this is kinda low but I had 3 trials with her and paid and tipped for each one.
Limo: gratuity was included in my contract, so I will say $50 each. We have two.
HTH! You will hear all sorts of numbers and everyone is different. If I had it, I would tip more, but with 8 days left - we just don't have the money. But you know what - that's ok bc we are paying all these people VERY good money.

honestly, keep your envelopes open. the day of my bridal attendant suckked; i took money out of her envelope and added it to the video guy. the maitre d was okay. I should have written down what we tipped (it was so random and fh/dh freaked that we were over tipping but based on what i'd read on this site I was like we are so NOT). I think we tipped our photographers $100 each. they were so nice. and we added to our video guy because he was even better than the maitre'd. our RH did tell us that $3-7 is standard. we also had to tip the waitstaff - we did $20 bucks each x 7 people.
the dj it was his own company but he rocked also so I think we gave them $100 or $150 each.

we have to tip maitre de $2 pp before the day of - if you want to give more the day of that is our choice

Wow and here I thought that a $100 would be fine for the Maitre D, considering that their makeing $$$ off me to begin with!
