First thanks to everyone for responding and voting. 4anyone that didn't see it, I was questioning my favor for the wedding ...because one of my bridesmaids mentioned to me tonight that she didn't want to do any kind of edible favor/candy for my shower since that was cheesy. My favor for the wedding is a personalized satin bag filled with my favorite-jelly belly jelly beans. Now I'm stressing that this might be considered cheap or cheesy. I recieved this at a wedding last year and LOVED it..but what do I know, I'm easy to please.
Anyway, I really did lose sleep over this last night. Thank goodness I don't have work today. Please bear with me one more time. I found some other items that I think are cute. Def. will be a lot more $ than the candy which is never a good thing when you're paying for an entire wedding out of your own pocket but I was more concerned about giving people a bunch of crap they'll never use. LOL. I thought edible was best ( and still actually do).
Please let me know which of these you'd most like to get. The satin bag filled with jelly beans ( or maybe chocolates, haven't decided) or one of these gifts. The wine couple set is very different than anything I've ever seen and I LOVE wine. It says 'Cheers to a Great Couple' on it. The champagne bucket is a timer also and it says ' It's about time'on it. I'm going to be 34 this June...I def took my time finding the one!! I think both will fit inside the bags but not positive. ugh
Please let me know your thoughts and don't worry about hurting my feelings. I didn't buy anything other than the bags yet. I'm def keeping them, I love them. I got the gold color and the cream color, they are both very pretty. Thanks!!!
Also..if you don't like any of them, PLEASE tell me what to do: )

i voted jelly bellys but i am jelly belly addict!!! lol i love them! I dont think it would be cheap at all...i think we all go a little overboard sometimes with this stuff.....especially for the shower i would say keep it a little more low key and cheaper....your going to be giveing nicer favors at the wedding most likely.....JMO

Def do the jelly beans....I LOVE edible favor!
It's just a shower...you have the right to be cheesy...but I don't think jelly beans are cheesy.
BTW: Don't worry about what your BMs are going to say: I did in the beginning & caused myself lots of anxiety...cc where the BP was to be, ect. There is going to be lots of difference of opinion.

This is just MY honest opinion, so nobody hate me for this:
I think for a shower an edible favor is cool. However, for a wedding, I'm anti-edible favor. I feel as if by the time people come to your wedding, they will have given a gift for your shower and put some money in an envelope...a thank you at the wedding in the form of candy is just not enough for all they've done. JMO

If it's for your shower, jelly beans are fine. Any edible favor would be fine....I don't know why she thinks it's cheesy. I'd much rather get some candy at a shower than any of the useless trinkets I've either left on table or thrown out when I got home.

dont you think that a bottle of wine or something like that is better? I mean honestly most favors ppl buy are not useful and how many times do ppl use the things they receive at showers. I do bc ill find my own use for things. One wedding i went to last year did give a great gift so that was good.

I like useful gifts. Candy for the shower is great! If you like that for the wedding use it maybe do cholocates as well just in case some people may not like jelly beans. Other suggestions: (ps- i like the wine glasses) if it is not too pricey i would suggest that. Look for things that people can use versus throwing them out if you want FM and I can tell you what i ordered (at a great price)

I should've added that wine is a great idea, even though it's considered edible. Wine is always good...as a shower or wedding favor!

i've never seen the champagne timer before...very different! I like it, and the timer comes in so handy in the kitchen!!

I like the jelly beans. I like editable favors because honestly half that stuff I just stick in a drawer and never see it again. I can't even think of one favor I got that I used. Maybe the corkscrew or wine stopper but, I have so many of them because they are pretty commonplace.
