EEERRR FH and the HM

He sounds like my FH! I still hav enot booked and I am less than 100 days away! The stress this causes me is like UGHHHHHHH... I am just saying I know how you feel! Its like what do they want to 'look' for.... you and I both know they are not doing any 'looking'... you and i are!!!

We are in the process of booking though, my aunt is a travel agent and she has been looking for me for the past week for things bc I finally just told FH, ' Listen, I have waited and you have done nothing about this, so now I am.' So last weekend I spoke to her and she called me back yesterday with some ideas. Here is the thing... she told me that she wishes I started earlier bc people dont book honeymoons in a day or a week.... most of the time it takes close to a month to shop around and make decisions and get the best deals...its a long process...

What is FH not happy about? Aruba? is it the specific hotels( which by the way are both BEAUTIFUL!!) ...whats his beef?

I am sorry he is being a PITA with this... I totally know your pain

Hey Jenn... he really wanted to go to Paris, Italy or Greece. But I would love that for our 1 yr ann. I havent been on a vacation in 10 yrs . So I really wanted something romantic, relaxing but, have things to do as well, just not going over board. We are also getting married during hurricane season and wanted something that is out of the loop. I thought Aruba would be out of our budget but, its not. So now that I have been looking more into the HM, he has been thingking more, . I guess he just wants the most bang for our buck. I taught him well .
I just have to sit his a$$ down and have him look with me.
You young lady have to get a move and book something What are you guys looking into?

we r going to the El Dorado Royale Spa Resort in The Rivier Maya. We have friends that stayed there before and it has won many awards for being the perfect honeymoon resort. FM me if u want pricing info or any other info about it!! It was extremely Reasonably priced!!!!!!

I think this is the place my co-woker is staying at for hers.

We are going to Italy (Florence/Tuscany). I wanted something relaxing and romantic and FH wants to be able to sight see etc. So we are going to spend 5 days in a villa in the country side...we are going to take cooking classes and go on a few private tours (vineyards etc.):

Then the rest of the trip we will sightsee etc.

What about a cruise like flairforfashion? We looked into it but the dates did not work for us.

Your FH sounds like mind...constantly wants to continue research, and put off a final decision for as long as possible.

We haven't booked anything officially yet...he thinks we can book in June 2010 to go July 2010

But we will do Greece most likely...Santorini, Crete, Athens, Agio and the rural towns of the Peloponnese (where his family is from), with possible day trips to Delphi and Hydra. In our minds at least haha....we need to find a way to bankroll this lofty plan.

10'er crashing...

we're doing 5 night in Couples Jamaica and then flying to LA overnight and then doing a cruise to the mexican riviera (puerta vallarta, cabo san lucas and mazaltan). i beleive its about 14 days total and the price isnt half bad

if its hurricane season then i would stick with aruba, or maybe mexico. Theres also hawaii.

If he wanted to do europe i would look up rates bc you never know. Not paris though bc france is VERY expensive and you'll spend so much there on food and drinks.

If you want info on spain by any chance feel free to ask. Even with the euro their prices are very low and i thought even cheaper than NYC. I had found AMAZING rates at hotels but then dh was set on staying at OMM hotel so that killed all the great rates i found lol. But there were alot of great deals you can get.

See FH is ridiculously busy with work and to get him to wind down and relax and talk about our honeymoon is a little bit of a project. But we are in the process of it! I want to sit him down and have you talk to him.. set the guy straight lol... please
We are thinking Spain & Greece...Maybe sub one of them for mexico, but 2 weeks. We want beach and partying and drinking and swimming and shopping...So like Madrid, Ibiza & Santorini, and Athens. See I have been to Mexico and I love mexico, but FH hasnt and he was holding back from there... now there are great deals in Mexico... so maybe we will do Spain & Mexico. Who knows... but I am on it now!

Chris, I think that like Denise said above... you guys need to figure out what you want out of a honeymoon and then look at the characteristics of the places and choose from there. Aruba is totally different than France or Greece. Pick apart the elements you want and go from there...

spain and greece sounds amazing, i want to do greece so bad but dh doesnt want to grrrr lol. I would do spain and greece bc they are closer to eachother and less time with flights. You dont want to waste a whole day on just travelling from one place to another. We did 2 locations but i wanted to make sure they were close to eachother. From spain to monaco it was a 50 min flight so was perfect bc we felt like we didnt miss out on a whole day travelling. The last day in spain we still went out had breakfast and did a few things. Then when we got to monaco was still early to relax a little, then get ready walk around and then do dinner.

dh also had no patience to look. SO i finally just saved all the sites and info and showed him just specific things. You would think you were asking them to do god knows what lol, like its such a big deal lol.

Denise, that is exactly how I feel... like I am asking him to commit murder or something! I have said to him, 'Its your friggin honeymoon...we havent been away in 2 years, and prob wont be after this for awhile, you could give me a few minutes and plan this amazing trip with me.' Its funny, we just discussed this last night and I think we decided that if money holds us back from doing Spain & GReece, then we picked Spain as being the country we wanted to visit more. So we could possibly throw Mexico in the mix. As far as the travel goes.. Mexico is a short flight and we would go there first, then from Mexico fly to Spain, which may cut a day out but it would be the same if we went from home to Greecr right away... you have a point, but that is ok for us. We want to go to Ibiza for opening parties the last weekend in May. So whichever place we go to, Spain would be our 2nd stop.

Regardless... i def have some Spain questions to throw your way when we get finalized! I hope that is ok?
