You know, your boss has some nerve! He expects you to basically live at your job and if an emergency comes up, he only gives you specific days and now gives you a pay cut?!?!

Wow Im so sorry you are dealing with this. Do you mind me asking- how long have you been working there? Right now its best to stay there so at least you have a job, but maybe in the future consider going to a place that can give you more money for the experience and responsibility you take on. Im so sorry Ali, I really hope things get better for you

I'm so sorry to hear that Ali! I really hope they go back to normal soon. Things can change quickly. We laid off workers last month and we just hired one back yesterday and hope to hire a few more back this month, so maybe the but will be only for a small time.

I am so sorry you have to deal with that!!

Don't get me wrong, I understand this economy isn't the best but I am SO sick of employers treating their employees like sh*t because they know people have no where else to go! Sometimes it feels like they are purposely taking advantage of people!

I don't know how things are at your company but at mine was are making like 800 million a year instead of 900 million a year (Okay I am exaggerating but you get the point) because of the economy so they are laying off everyone and having a small handful of us do 3 people's jobs...To top it all off, we got vacation time and other perks taken away from us.. It is all such B.S....

I hope you get your pay restored to its rightful amount soon! Like you don't have enough things to worry about financially with a wedding to plan!

I'm sooooo sorry Ali!!! Everything is going wrong for you right now, it seems.

There isn't much positive to look at from this situation as far as I can find... I just hope you still have enough energy and optimism to be happy about what is going well for you in your life, like your wedding and the fact that you've found the love of a lifetime... you still have so much to look forward to in this world and things will get better!!!!!!

As dark as it seems sometimes, bad things that happen usually mean wonderful things are right around the corner.

Make sure they put EVERYTHING in writing, such as when you will be restored to your original rate and how your next increase will not be from this rate but from your original rate and when. Don't let them snake out of this, it costs them more to replace you esp. if you are a slave since everyone is out on vacation.
