Election Fraud

Re: Election Fraud

I highly doubt it, based on WHO was disenfranchies d in the largestnumbers (black people who tend to vote democrat), but it IS posisble that Bush would have won the state by more if the election had been handled fairly, all votes counted, and all eligible allowed to vote. Even if it would have made Bush the clear winner, I still believe that everyone should have been allowed to vote. Elections should be fair and everyone who is eleoigible has the right to vote and have his or her vote counted.

God... sometimes in the back of my mind I wish Kerry would actually win this so it won't be four more years of whining by the left side.

put your head back in the sand buddy and worship your shrine to Bush and all things Republican.

At least ATTEMPT to be a little open minded instead of accepting whatever they told you.

As I mentioned before I don't belong to a policial party and I voted for Bush in the last election- that doesn't mean that I can't 'flip flop' or really see what is going on/ or attempt to not accept what is spoon fed to me.

There was too muhc going on in florida to list, but I've been following it closely in the times (of course in buried articles a lot fo the time) over the summer and the stuff that went on would shock you. SHOCK you.

The first 10 minutes of fahrenheit 9/11 made me CRY, and even if you hate Michael moor, nown of it was his opinion, it was actual senate footage. How can we just disenfranchise voters like that? Even if you don't believe it was a republican conspiracy, you have to realize that something went VERY wrong in 2000, and it went WAY beyond hanging chads and absentee ballots.

Maybe none of it was his opinion but maybe the truth was a wee bit twisted. I really don't like Michael Moore I think he used his movie to twist things ( and laughing about it ) and is profiting off of something he disgusts me .

in 2000 many African Americans were disenfranchised in Florida based on past jail time.. but they were allowed to vote and were somehow put on a 'not allowed to vote list'.. that is a fact.

Do you have proof of this? A link perhaps?

Don't worry babygirl. If Dubya actually gets re-elected for four more years.... Sassy can realize that there is always therapy available.

Regardless of whether or not you believe W or gore should have won is not the point. The point is that we, as americans are frequently telling other countries how to set protocol for their democratic elections, when we have failed miserably in our own. There was so much going on in Florida that it is nearly impossible to compile it all without a congressionsal task force.

I think the point we are trying to make here is that the winner is not always what is important...the system is, and the electoral college has failed us again and again.

I cannot recall right now which president it was, but there were actually cases of a popular vote winning and the electoral vote went to a different candidate....and what about the famous headline Dewey wins??? he didn't!!!

Sorry if my whining is getting in the way of your apathy

Hey Sassy... I actually read the article you posted.

I like this statement the best....

Several thousand felons apply each month; in Mr. Bush's first three years in office, from 1999 through 2001, the state restored the rights of an average of 1,550 people a year, according to data from the Florida Parole Commission. But the number jumped in the last two years: 6,649 felons had their voting rights restored in 2002, and 14,828 in 2003, according to the commission.

Sounds to me like Mr. Jeb Bush is making strides to allow more 'felons' to vote (who will most likely vote democrat).

I cannot help but think it looks suspicious. I am sorry, but the fact that the exit polls called W the winner before the tally was in AND before the polls were closed in other time zones had an effect on the voting in other parts of the country. I wish I could remember who did the study...it was a trade magazine for the media....

If he is elected for four more years I will certainly survive and NOT need therapy thank you very much.

Also... I am not 'Republican'. I voted for Clinton in 1996.

I am not thrilled with either candidate. I don't think Dubya is getting the job done properly in Iraq.

But I also think Kerry would be a total disaster for our domestic/economic policy, and to my pocketbook. The economy is starting to rebound. The DOW is back up to 10,000. Jobs are being added.

The last thing this country needs is the 'absolutely, undisputed, most liberal senator in all the 50 states' as our president.

Do you even know what an exit poll is? Its a poll that is conducted... polling voters who just got out of the booth. Aren't these polls broadcasted throughout the day on the news? Correct me if I am wrong.
