Embellishing flat invitations

Embellishing flat invitations

I like the idea of unique invitations, but the ones I have seen that open up really pretty or have nice ribbons are either really expensive or the design is a bit old fashioned. I found a place that does flat cards with really pretty modern designs that are good for my budget. Is there a way to add embellishments or ribbons etc to somehow dress up an invitation?

Thanks!

you could add rhinestones on the invite, not the rhinestone buckles but individual ones. If you have a monogram on the invite you can put individual rhinestones on the monogram. Many times you'll see they put 3 individual rhinestones, sometimes more or less under the names.

If the invite has more than 1 layer, you can put a ribbon between the layers so this way the front part has a ribbon going across of it, you can even do the ribbon with a rhinestone buckle
