Why don't you put off your 'real honeymoon' and go on that 3 week trip over the summer when you are off from work? Go on something for like a week after the wedding.

Re: Employer problems (long) Update
honestly, for many of us our wedding dates were not necessarily determined by our desires, but what was easiest on our work schedules. i knew i wanted a fall wedding, but my busy season is from august 15 - october 15 - so viola!! getting married on october 25.
i'm guessing you don't have tenure? so you probably don't have much support from the union.
good luck to you.

Re: Employer problems (long) Update
Yabbobay-If I do end up doing this the substitute will actually be payed my wages. I will not be getting payed for the two weeks I take off.
Michele- I am going on HM in February. It's not the first day of school. I wasn't crazy enough to do that. The two weeks I want to take off are sandwiched between a week that the school is closed, therefore giving me three weeks off.
I don't mind not getting payed for the time I am out. I just want to be able to enjoy my HM and have no regrets. I know FH will be devastated if we don't do this and so will I. I am just praying that everything works out.
Thanks everyone for your opinions!!!
