ANYHOW. WE ARE SHOPPING AROUND FOR THE PERFECT RING!
I WANT TO PICK IT OUT! IS THAT A BAD THING?

SO IT OFFICAL WE R GETTING ENGAGED! I AM SOO EXCITED.

I WANT TO HAVE AN ENGAGEMENT PARTY.
HOW MANY PEOPLE DO I INVITE? N E IDEAS ON AN AFFORTABLE PLACE?

First, congratulations!!

Second, there's nothing wrong with helping to pick out the ring...you're the one who's going to wear it, so why not? I took the middle of the road on this issue...I picked out the band and let FH pick out the diamond.

Third, regarding your engagement party, can you be a bit more specific? Where are you located? Do you have and/or FH have large families or circle of friends?

We chose to do a very small and intimate get-together for our engagement party. A lunch on a Sunday afternoon at Caffe on the Green in Bayside, Queens. We invited family only (and only close family at that), but it still came out to ~80 people invited. It was late August and a lot of our relatives were still on vacation in Greece, so only 60 adults and 5 kids under 10 years old actually came.

Welcome and Congrats

You can give out any type of favor youd like. We chose to give out chocolates in decorated plastic champagne bottles. And make a registry if you would like gifts, i chose not to register and most people gave money which we used to help pay for the wedding. And in regards to the e-party guest list, it is ok if you dont invite people to the e-party and still invite them to the wedding. Just dont invite people to the e-party you dont plan on inviting to the wedding. If that made sense.
