My FH and I got are planning to have our engagement party in September and are planning to get married in April 2008. Some people are telling us that we should have a registry and some are saying not to. I was wondering if you ladies had registries for your engagement parties. If so what did you register for because I thought you get most things at your bridal shower. Thanks

We could have registered but we did not. Everyone gave us money and that was OK with us!

A few people told me I should make one so people can get you something if they wanted b/c not everyone likes to give money & then at least they'll get you something you need/want. I just made a registry & put a few basic things on it like toaster,coffepot. I would reccomend making a registry somewhere & put a just a few things on it for now & then add to it later.

Yes we registered because people kept asking us where we were registered. We got some things off the registry which was nice!

i started my registry by my engagement party but it was only a year in advance.
if you're not getting married until 2008 i wouldn't start a registry, everything will be discontinued by then!

We didn't register. I have no where to put all that stuff. And I figured if I didn't register, people would most likely give us money that we could us for the wedding.

i did because everyone was bugging us about where we were registered. but some ended up just giving us money.

We registered for our e-partyand got a lot of stuff, but now I am having a hard time finding stuff we need to put on the registry for the shower and wedding.

Thats what we said,, Dont need the bedroom set, dont need the pots, lord knows Ive got a ton of them,, Coffee maker , nope, flatware, nope,,
