Engagement Party

How long after you got engaged did you have your engagement party? Is anyone waiting till they are closer to their wedding?
Where did you/will you have your engagement party

We got engaged in November, e party is in April. That will be about a year and a few months before the wedding. We are having the eparty at the Knights of Columbus

i got engaged sept 25th and my eparty is feb 17th

We got engaged November 10th and our Engagement Party is January 13th at Brookville Country Club. I think you should try to do it within about 4 months.

were not having one. we may have a bbq durring the summer.. but most likely we wont!... just couldnt afford it!

We got engaged 8/17/06 and our mom's threw us an engagement dinner at Singleton's about a month and a half later. It was more so that both sides of the family could meet.

i got engaged sept 25th and my eparty is feb 17th

my eaprty is the same date!!!! ... i got engaed on Oct13th and i am having mine ata fire hall ... i havent sent out invites yet is that bad???

We got engaged in April and had our eparty in July. It worked out great cuz we did a BBQ.

we got engaged in april and had ours in june @ wickers in hicksville it was a sat night 100 pp and sit down dinner and open bar and dj

Engaged on June 27 had engagement party on September 9...had it at my mother's house and sis made all the food...

you're not supposed to wait until its closer to the wedding actually...that will be too much for guests, to give gifts or money at e-party, then bridal shower then your wedding.

Usually they say between 2-4 months after your engagement... I am having mine 6 months after, but were also having a 22 month engagement so its plenty of time before the wedding...Also, we didnt want to do it right before the holidays so decided to wait until february since both of our birthdays are in feb and our anniversary is in feb

We were engaged November 17, 2006. We are thinking about a St. Patrick's Day e-party just at our house. That would be about 1 year and 2 weeks until our wedding and exactly 6 months engaged.

Right now we are just tossing the idea around, nothing actually planned yet.

We got engaged April 1 and had our engagement party July 1. We had it at Fox Hollow, in the garden room. They say you shoul dhave it anywhere from 2-4 moths after. And not to clse to the wedding. It's to much going on for everyone then.

we got engaged in June and had ours in september (2005)....we did it in my parents backyard ...it was a blast...people are still talking about it ...pic in album
