Re: Engagement Party
i had my eparty in a restaurant and i didn't have to do any of those things; all i needed to do was pick the menu, buy favors and send invites. the restaurant took care of everything else.

Re: Engagement Party
I just had my epart yesterday. I had it in my parents backyard. Definitely make sure you register somewhere otherwise people will give you gifts that are just not your style. You may also want to make a mixed cd (if you are not having a dj). And if your caterer doesnt provide cake, you will need to order a cake. Other than that, you are pretty much set! :)
One heads up, though...the eparty comes and goes so quickly. Just make sure you mingle with everyone. It can be a bit overwhelming, but you'll have so much fun b/c everyone that you love so dearly is in the same place....all for you. :)

Re: Engagement Party
table cloths for the tables and are you writing a speech or you just going to wing it?
so far the list looks great! i also agree about registering for a few items and have your close family spread the word about where you're registered at!

Re: Engagement Party
No, I'm not having it at martha clara...we're going to try to do the wedding at a vineyard. Good idea about the speech. Who traditionally makes speeches at the e-party anyway??

Re: Engagement Party
Usually one of the fathers makes the speech (whoever is hosting the party), but my godfather (uncle) gave my speech.
