the most that we got from anyone (couple/fam) was $100. I do not think it's necessary to give an extravagant gift.

fsil and her fh gave us a few items off our registry-they totaled about 70, and she gave me a cute tote bag that said bride..so about 85 for her and her fh?

yeap i totally agree! she's ur fsil and his sister, i would be generous as helllll! i would expect other people, friends, and not so close fam to give 100-150....

bridal party gave around $100 per PERSON, if not more. family gave alot more.
if you cant swing that, they get some gifts and a smaller check.
(honestly, i didnt expect the e-gifts, but all the $ we got is going towards our HM...which i am sooo grateful about!!!)

We gave my sister toasting flutes from tiffanys-i think they were $150-i think thats a nice gift for them to use the day of. I think $100 was an average gift we got.

I have to agree.........although my sister and bil gave us gifts, it added up to that amount anyway.....when we go to a friends eparty, we usually give about 250? so I would def up it for my FSIL....JMO
