Anysuggestions for a place to hold the engagement party? How long after your engagement should it be held?

we got engaged 12/24/02 and had our e-party 4/5/03. Our was at a rest/bar. Pretty casual but lots of fun!!!

Our engagement party was a surprise party on the night we got engaged. Our families threw it.

We got engaged on December 6, 2002. We had our engagement dinner (just families) on April 12, 2003 in New York and our engagement party is going to be in July on my FI's family vineyard in Saint Louis (50-60 people). We are getting married May 16, 2004.

We were engaged in May 2002 and had the e-party in July 2002- the wedding was January 31st 2003

We had the party @ my Mom's house (backyard bbq sorta thing) but we had it catered with service. We had about 50-60 people.

We were engaged August of 2001, engagement party was June of 2002. Wedding is August 2003 We had our e-party at Pompei in West Hempstead, I highly recommend them, they were great.

we just had our engagment party and we had the time of our lives. we got engaged last july and had our party may 25. we had it at domenicos and they did an amazing job. im a control freak and they put everything together and set the room and tables up just as i asked and did a better job than i could have done. everubody raved about the food and service and they werent too expensive. domenicos is in levitown on hempstead turnipike. there room can hold i think up to 150 people. definatly check them out
