Engagement Party

Hey ladies...so has anyone had or booked their engagement party yet?? I have been looking and looking and I can't find anything in our price range...we have 75-100 people!

If anyone can share their thoughts or opinions or suggestions, I would appreciate it!

I did! Pics in my album... not sure how much of the room ithe pics show, but it had a full bar and buffet area. We had about 85 people.

I have more pics of the empty room in my computer at home. FM me if you are interested.

where are you looking to have it?

Thanks everyone...I was thinking about looking at a Knights of Columbus hall...but not sure where to start. Do they have a website?

As for where I am looking - probably a restaurant with a private area or even a decent bar...nothing too extravagant! Plus, we are looking at Feb/Mar, so the outdoor thing won't fly in the cold weather :O(

We had ours at Tutto Pazzo in Huntington in July the restaurant has a party room it ran like $60pp and it is great Italian food

Where are you looking!?

I had mine at Villa Umbertos in Elmont. The food was amazing and had about 80 people. It was reasonably priced.

I love Tutto Pazzo!! its right across from my RH too!

My mother is planning it.. She said I cant help since I already have so much say over the wedding lol.. Mine will be in Jan.

If you want to save money maybe do a cocktail party with passed food.

I am trying to find a place for under or around $20 per person and than probably just run a tab at the bar. There is a local place that I am probably just going to go to. It's a bar, which is great b/c I didn't want to do a sit down thing anyway, but we are always there and I guess I was just trying to look for something slightly nicer, if you know what I mean!

I had mine at Elks Lodge, 2162 Veterans Boulevard in Massapequa NY. Buffet, beer, wine, soda for under $25 pp. All other drinks the guest paid for. I had 105 guest, they will set up as low as 50 and as high as 200. I had a dj, cake and favors. I have pics in my album. FM for questions.

Ours is on Sunday.....my uncle is in the fire department so we rented it out. My mom & FMIL are cooking with a little help from others. we are all decorating & helping each other buy stuff.

We are having about 90 people & FHs mom paid for the rental fee for the place!

If your in Nassau county, I had mine in Oyster Bay at the Homestead, Great food!!! Best party i ever had. 100 quests.

FutureMrsCat050412 , my FH is in a fire department and we had ours at the hall in the fire house too!
we catered it and bought the alcohol (beer,wine, and made a yummy champagne punch) and soda and water and had a friend bartend. lots of family members all helped out decorating and buying stuff. We had about 65 people. it was so much fun!
