Hi! My parents want to throw us a casual backyard engagement party. Who should we invite? I think my mom would like to keep it small. Any fun party ideas? Thanks!!

Inviting immediate family, bridal party & close friends only will keep the numbers down. A luau party is always a cute theme for a backyard e-party.

we did a backyard party and threw some of their white open tents up... I used tons of tealights with pink rosepetals pink plates and napkins and pink ribbon on the chairs and black table cloths... we also made an icecream adult punch and served it in plastic pink martini glasses and we had lots of boxed wine and some champagne...
His mom ordered a ton of italian and we set it up buffet style. funny thing... my favorite color is purple haha

we're having our e-party on the 24th (can't wait) and its in FILs backyard. FILs rented a white tent, table and chairs and for a few pop up tents. FMIL is decorating in all our wedding colors and the flowers I want to use at the wedding so it should be good because its basically just the theme of the wedding. We're just doing hot dogs and hamburgers (they apparently rented a hot dog cart? for like $75 and it comes with all the hot dogs cooked and condiments - thought that was cute) and some other catered food.
We wanted to keep it small so we originally had a list of 20 (bridal party and immediate family) and we are now at 68 on our guest list, 52 coming. Somehow it grew! Funny thing is our wedding guest list is only at 115!! I keep joking we should just do the wedding at the e-party!
