Having both is fine, but like everyone else said, so long as they're spaced out, which yours seem to be. We got engaged last Labor Day, my parents through us an e-party in October- for which we did not register and didn't even expect gifts, my shower is in 2 weeks and my wedding is in October. I think that was fine and I don't view it as being greedy at all. My parents wanted to throw us the e-party so our families could get together and it was a fancy backyard bbq with both immediate families and our bridal party. My BP will be hosting my shower. Actually, the 'greed' factor is why ettiquette says the BP should throw the shower, not a family member of the bride.
