Engagement Party Dress

Hi girls, I'm Nicole and I'm new to the board. Before I get into my question I just wanted to say that I've been reading posts for about two weeks and everyone seems really sweet. You girls have such great ideas and are all so helpful to eachother which I love. FH and I haven't set a date for the wedding yet but it will either be at the end of 2008 or beginning of 2009 so I jump back and forth between the boards lol....well anyways before I start a novel (hahaha) here is my question:

does anyone know where i can find a nice dress for my engagement party? we are having it outdoors in september. i want to look sexy without looking slutty and of course i want to be the most dressed at the party but still on the casual side....i kind of wanted something white but i'm having a hard time finding the right dress. any suggestions of where to look? i don't want anything long (tea length is the longest i want) and i don't want to look like i am going to a prom lmao....i need help!!

Lots of stores are having sales on their dresses...try Ann Taylor, Macys or Nordstrom

I think Nordstrom wins for adorable dresses. I got my e-pic dress there. I also bought a really cute dress from Century 21 recently.

Where are you located?? Are you in LI? There are some great stores in Queens on Austin Street in Forest Hills but that might be far from you.

For a white dress try White House, Black Market. There's one in Smithhaven Mall. Also online.

Bluefly has white dresses too.

Honestlty- I got mine at Jessica McClinotck and I loved it....Nordstrom has some great sh*t too!

Welcome to the boards!!! I bought my dress at Cache the other day. It was either 158 or 178, can't remember. It looks really sexy, yet classy!!!! i'll try and find it and edit the post to include the pic.
