Any of you girls having favors at your eparty?? We are having 100+ people and dont know if we should save the money and not do favors. We dont know if that is tacky or not. We are soooo clueless with all this wedding planning!!!!!!!!

Depending on what your theme is....our enagement party theme was tropical, bright flowers and tons of color equipped with a full size tiki bar...we gave out a set of coasters 4-per set. They had beautiful seashells on them and they came packaged in a clear box with raffia ribbon tied across them. Also included on them were a tag that said ' Thank you for sharing this day' and Heather & Rich then the date of our engagment party.
Just a suggestion, our party was in August so they were a big hit because our guest were able to use them for their summer BBQ's
I have to say I'm so nervous about my Eparty on 3/3/07 I'm meeting all of my FH family. I have so much to do. My mom is doing most of the cooking. I hope everything comes together we have decorating to do also. I got a lot of stuff to introduce my colors blue and brown. Plus I have to but a ton of liquor. We are having a Dj I just can't wait to party. The favors are M&M's with our names and some say LIFE TIME OF LOVE.

we did favors...we gave out letter openers and wine stoppers..here are some pics..

btw i ended up doing the cupcakes and wine as favors...Everybody loved it, the cupcakes were so delicious

I did little boxes filled with truffles. I got the truffles for free from my job, so it didnt end up costing me much, but they were definately a hit!! I bought the boxes and tags off of ebay and ribbon at a craft store - it was kind of a pain putting it all together and I probably will stay away from DIY for the wedding lol! I have some pictures in my album.

Hey Espo - which wine did you end up using and how much did you pay - if you dont mind my asking.
I was going to do personalized playing cards but they are going to work out to be $5 a person (with set up fees and tax and shipping) and I got my sample today and the paper is poor quality. Back to the drawing board!

I did pinot grigio wine and bought the big bottles 750ml...each bottle came out to under $5, about $4.50 or maybe like $4.60 or something but def under $5...just go to your local liquor store and tell them you are interested in buy a couple cases of wine, they'll usually give you a good dea.
You can get it for even less that $4.50 a bottle if you get a different type of wine

FSIL is making us chocolate lollipops and now i'm trying to get something that goes well with chocolate. Well anything goes good with chocolate right? We were also thinking of getting a bottle of wine for each couple.
