Engagement party favors..

Original post by Mrs Z To Be

My mom insisted I get them, so...I wanted something useful yet cute. I always utilize the wine stoppers, so, what do you think?

Hold on, need to resize...

I bought organza bags from some online store they were really cheap and we put a little card saying ' Thank you for helping us celebrate, wishing you LUCK and LOVE' and in the bag is a scratch off lotto ticket and some hershey kisses.... we also put our save the date magnets in there for guests to take home. We wanted them out really early bc we have soo many OOT guests. Those who won't be at the party we will mail to them. This way it saves on postage too.

if you read this lauren (laurenandmike618) sorry to ruin the surprise, buttt you'll get yours in a week and a half!

we gave out our STDs also for the same reason.

We got truffles from Morgan's Bay Confections in Babylon. They put them in these cute little plastic jars with one side saying 'Michael & Laura' and the other side said 'June 5, 2010' and they had a red ribbon. Each jar had a white chocolate truffle, milk chocolate truffle, and dark chocolate truffle along with a few chocolate hearts.

If you don't mind me asking, how much were those?? Sounds like a great idea!!!

FM me if you want...

You have FM!

MMMMMMM is right....they were DELICIOUS! When my mom and I went to go pick everything out, they ended up sending us home with a whole sample platter for free!!!! Needless to say, Weight Watchers was out the window that week

I think the wine stoppers are a good idea. I've always used them when I received them.

We are also doing truffles for our e-party favors! We have a sort of Northern European theme going on, accidentally, since our party is at a Belgian restaurant, we are having tulip centerpieces, and belgian chocolate favors! We are ordering them from Leonida's (Belgian chocolate company near my office).

Aw - those are really cute!

I havent decided on what to do for our E-Party favors yet...maybe the personalized M&Ms and put them in something cute...

I am thinking the same thing! We are going to start looking into this! I know it's expensive, but I dont care. I have a long history with M&M's... lol

When I was younger (Like 3) I refused to eat anything except for M&M's. When I am sick my mother always purchases me M&M's.. etc.

JMO, but I never use favors like that.
I would never use a wine stopper that said something cheesy like 'Perfect Pair' on it.

You wouldn't use a particular wine stopper because it says 'perfect pair'?
