Engagement Party Timing

How long did you wait to have your engagement party. my mom gives ms. manners a run for her money and keeps telling me the purpose of an engagement party is so imediate famliy and the bridal party can get aquainted and that if I don't do it soon I should have one because it is rude after a certain point.

I was thinking of doing it in January, is that to long?

Engagement Party Timing - Long Island Weddings

We got engaged in October 12' and had it in June 13', so 1 year before the wedding. It is an engagement celebration, so as long as you have the ring, go and celebrate anytime!
