Engagement Party venues...

I got engaged recently and am attempting to find places to throw an engagement party...any ideas?

There will only be about 50 people, and I was hoping to keep it in Nassau County.

We had ours at Novita in Garden City. They did the BEST job. You should look into seeing what they could do for you.

I just thought of this - why don't you look into The Metropolitan in Glen Cove if you are interested in a cocktail party type event? That might be fun!

haha I was going to post something similar to this!!!

Anyway, Congrats!!! What about Louie's Clam Bar in Manhasset? They have a smaller room set apart from the rest of the restaurant. I went to a Bridal shower there and it was perfect!! I really like that place, I recommend it all the time!

mine was at domenico's in levittown, it was very nice and the food was good! we had about 55 people, but they have rooms of all sizes

Any of the LaParma's...if you like Italian food, plus they have small private rooms.

We also went to an engagement party in Glen Cove at the Soundview.....it was half inside half outside and they have beautiful grounds...

we had ours at ciao baby in carle place. it was great and very reasonable! they are closed now for renovations till sept tho. but they have 2 other locations

i actually had ours at 'the original umbertos' on jericho turnpike in new hyde park. the food was AMAZING and so was the service. we only had 20 people so we were just going to do ordering off the menu but then the manager came and asked if we wanted family style of a bunch of different things and thats wat we got. it was REALLLYYYY good. they have a private 2 private rooms. the one we had was small but they have a larger one for large parties.

I can not agree more!! We had our's at Domenicos also (thanks Jen) and it was awesome!! They work with us so much and ended up giving us a lot of freebies...it was really great and I highly recommend them!!
