Engagement Party Venues

So I might be stuck having my engagement party at a hall instead of a backyard like I was hoping. The only person with a big enough backyard is FH's grandpa but we really do not want to ask him to borrow his backyard unless of course he offers it to us...so I am thinking we might have to go with having it at a hall.

Can anyone recommend an affordable but nice place in South-Mid Nassau? I'm not sure how many people we would want...I dunno, I'm guessing 50-100.

I'm so bad at getting the ball rolling, lol. Neither myself nor FH are the planning type.

Help is appreciated.

Re: Engagement Party Venues

I had mine at Carmela's in Franklin square and we had 65 people plus 10 kids and a dj. It worked out great!

Re: Engagement Party Venues

We just had ours at Elisa's in Bellmore. We rented out the whole restaurant for about 70 people, and I'm pretty sure it will hold more. The staff was really nice and accommodating - a few of my friends are gluten-free, vegan, allergies, etc. Food also got great reviews from the guests, too

Re: Engagement Party Venues

We had ours at the dance studio where we do zumba it's called Bet U Can Dance. It charged us a flat free and that was for set up and clean up. We then order in food and decorations. We also has D.J stuff there so you could either plug in an ipod or hire someone and they don't need to set up.
