FH and I have been toying with the idea of throwing a NYE )New Years Engagement party. At a friend's house this weekend we were talking about it and all thought how fab of an idea it would be. I mean most people spend tons to go out on NYE and it would be our close friends only. We have a great location and would provide food and alcohol and decorations and hate and music and all.
Would you be happy to be invited to a close friend's on NYE?

I would be happy... there is so much hype around NYE and sometimes I never make plans until the last minute... This would be ideal because I know i'd have some place to go and be with close friends...

We had actually toyed with the idea ourselves!
But I think we are going to do it the next weekend and have it be low key. But I would LOVE to attend a close-friends party on NYE and bring a gift instead of dropping way too much to go out!
But you would have to give notice SOON

We plan to email our friends tomorrow with a STD and then formal invites will go out by mid week next week.
