Hello just got engaged two weeks ago and I was wondering when its best to get engagement photos taken?

I got engaged on 9/27/15 and I still have yet to take my pics. We were so busy trying to find a venue to get married Sept 2016 that the time flew by. I would say within 2 months after. Considering it's winter and I want outdoor pics, We just scheduled our engagement session during the first week of March. I'm hoping that the trees start the bloom by then. We're getting married on 9/1/16 so I didn't want engagement photos too close to the wedding date.

We took ours about 9 months after getting engaged And almost two years out from the wedding since we had a long engagement. If you're using them for save the dates, you wanna take them with enough time to wait for the photos to be done, time to choose photos and then production and shipping time on the actual stds.
