Engagement Picture Location- Throgs Neck Bridge

Hey Ladies-

Anyone know of a place we can take our engagement pictures that has a view of the Throgs Neck Bridge in the background?? It was the bridge that separated FH and I for the first year of our relationship so it has special meaning to us.

I know Fort Totten is right there... but it a military base and I don't think we can take photos there... any other suggestions would be SO helpful!

You may be able to get permission to take them on fort totten. Otherwise, you can go to the rocks right over there, near the parking lot right outside of fort totten, or there's an entire grassy space surrounding that area, there's a dog park, a soccer field, tennis courts, all right over there also. Or go to see if you can do it at the maritime college on the other side of the bridge in queens. If you want, I can try to find out more areas over there (I live 5 minutes away).

Fort Totten is a NYC park. You can most likely take engagement pictures there no problem. Just called the city's park and rec and confirm you don't need a permit or anything.

We are taking our pictures at Fort Totten. My fiance literally lives under the Throgs Neck Bridge so it also has a really special meaning to us! Our photographer has taken photos there before so I dont think that there will be a problem. You could also take pictures on the SUNY Maritime campus there are some AMAZING spots, we just didn't want to pay extra to have the photographer go over the bridge for that.

I went to check out that rock/grassy area and everything is under construction. There are still spots we can take pictures, but it didn't seem like too much of a variety bc of the construction... I guess they are rebuilding the park. The little parking lot right outside the entrance of Fort Totten was even closed. That's why I asked.
