Does anyone know a blessing the officiant can say regarding your engagement ring? It comes after you exchange wedding vows.
I read one on here months ago and it went something like this 'Bride and Groom have just exchanged rings to signify their promise and life together. I have in my hand a ring that represents the journey that brought them here, etc.'
Then the officiant gives the ring to FH and he puts it on your finger.
Anyone know what the heck I am talking about?

when fh and i went to go look at my church and book the date we ask the preist to bless my ring and he did. The blessing is wht they would as per any jewelry that was getting blessed

That is a nice thing to do tho- I would like to have both my rings blessed- I think I am going to ask the Rabbi about it when I see him again.

Don't know if you're Catholic or not, but if you are and are attending Pre-Cana, the priest blessed all the engagement rings at our Pre-Cana Mass.
DH's friend who is a priest also blessed mine when we got engaged, so I'm doubly insured!
