I am pretty new to the forum, just got engaged in May. My question, would you bring/wear your engagement ring to Rome or Greece?

heck yeah i would! i just never understood the whole 'ooo, i'm so worried about bringing my e-ring/wedding band on HM' i LOVE my band and e-ring together, and i wear it everywhere i go, cause i'm proud to show it off..no fear of losing it or getting it stolen.
Ditto! I wore my ring in Mexico and Thailand without any problems. My sister wore hers all over Italy and no problems there either. Wear your rings and enjoy them!!

i would wear it.. only because i feel naked with out it. but if you feel uncomfortable maybe just turn it over?

I am definitely going to bring it with me on my honeymoon.... I too never take it off, only for shower and pool... I can't even take it off when I sleep!!
P.S. - Godforbid something happens my insurance covers my ring no matter where I go!

YES!!!!! I went to Greece last year and I bought it with me (thats a big step bec I dont wear it alot) and in July when I go to Greece again I will bring it with me as well, I like to show it off there

hard question i dont know.......................so many people lose them when they go to the beach and in the water and stuff that would scare me! But i would wanna wear it

I am bringing mine on my HM to go out at night and wear- but I did buy a cute fake wedding band to wear to the beach during the day so that I dont ruin my band swimming and putting suntan lotion on, etc. It's cute and was only about $150 so if it gets ruined I'll be ok!

i really thought about not bringing it with me to my HM, but after contemplating it for a while i realized how can i go on my HM without my rings?! Im taking it with me to Dubai and the Maldives, and you will be fine in Greece and Rome! During sight seeing i did leave it in the safe though and never go swimming in it.

I would NEVER bring it to the beach with me. One year, I went to Greece and it was time for me to leave for NY and my family bought me a ring as a gift and then I said to myself I have to go to the beach bec today is the last day I am here and I went swimming with the ring on (idiot) and it just slipped off my finger and into the depths of the ocean , I cried soo much so I learned my lesson

My mom lost a valuable ring as a teenager, when she was swimming in the ocean in Montauk. When we go by that beach she still says, 'Let's get a metal detector and look for my ring!' It's gone by now, Mom, it's been forty years. Poor Mom!
